Basic Conversational Italian:  Students will gain a foundation in speaking and understanding spoken and written Italian as they explore topics in contemporary Italian culture, including music, art, cinema, and food.   For students with minimal or no Italian; private lessons only. 

Basic Conversational Spanish:  Students will gain a foundation in speaking and understanding, spoken and written Spanish as they explore contemporary culturally-based topics in the Spanish-speaking world.  For students with minimal or no Spanish; private lessons only.  

Advancing Beginner/Spanish Review:   Through guided conversations and readings about cultures of the Spanish-speaking world,  students will review grammatical structures and gain confidence in speaking and reading.   For students with basic Spanish conversational skills and/or those needing a review; private lessons only.

Historias de México:  An introduction to reading in Spanish.  Students will read legends and myths from Mexico in a bilingual edition and discuss cultural topics as well as build vocabulary and review grammar.     Advanced beginner; offered on demand.

Grupo de Conversación: Hablando de cultura:  In a group setting, students will review grammar and expand vocabulary as they examine select cultural topics from throughout the Spanish-speaking world, through culturally-based readings, blogs, audio selections, and video clips. Intermediate.

Literatura cubana:  Students will read and discuss short stories and/or poetry written by Cuban women writers, including Nancy Alonso, Mirta Yáñez, and Georgina Herrera, and will expand their understanding of Cuba through current news feeds, blogs, music, and cinema.  Advanced; offered on demand. 

Poesía de Neruda:  Students will read and discuss select Odas by Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, and will explore the socio-cultural context through music, video clips and related readings.  Students can translate selected Odas or write original poetry in Spanish (optional)  Advanced; offered on demand.

Cuentos de Isabel Allende:  Students will do a close reading of and discuss selected stories from Chilean author Isabel Allende's Cuentos de Eva Luna, as they review select grammar points Advanced; offered on demand.

Grupo de lectura: Cuentos, Poesía o Novela:  Students will engage in a close reading of a literary text and discuss relevant historical, socio-cultural, literary, and linguistic elements.  Advanced; offered on demand. 

Spanish for Healthcare Professionals:  Medical providers in all disciplines, including first responders, will acquire basic skills in speaking and understanding Spanish relevant to the healthcare setting.  For professionals with little or no background in Spanish; offered on demand
